Fingers are crossed.? Each night, Leonard Cohen fans scan the crowd on their way into Centaur Theatre?s Dance Me to the End On/Off Love, hoping to catch a glimpse of a certain poet dropping by to check out this Danish dance/theatre piece based on his poems and songs.
Chances are slim. But hope springs eternal, and we all know there ain?t no cure for love.
Dance Me , directed by Palle Granhoj, is making its North American debut in Montreal.
Rumour has it, that Leonard Cohen, who owns a home in Montreal, could make a pit stop here during his current tour and pay a visit to the show that so eloquently pays tribute to his songs.? He?s slated to appear? in the Maritimes in mid-April.
Meanwhile, Centaur communications director Eloi Savoie says public response to the show has been enthusiastic. ?They?re coming down, they?re happy, they?re singing, and they?re renewing their subscriptions,?? he said.
