KEEP A BREAST FOUNDATION HONORED WITH A GOLD STEVIE? AWARD WINNER IN 2012 AMERICAN BUSINESS AWARDSSM FOR NON PROFIT BUSINESS OF THE YEAR

The Keep A Breast Foundation is so proud to announce we were presented with a Gold Stevie? Award in the Company of the Year ? Non-Profit or Government Organizations category in The 10th Annual American Business Awards last night.

The American Business Awards are the nation?s premier business awards program. All organizations operating in the U.S.A. are eligible to submit nominations ? public and private, for-profit and non-profit, large and small.

Nicknamed the Steviesfor the Greek word for ?crowned,? the trophies were presented to honorees during a gala banquet on Monday, June 18 at the Marriott Marquis Hotel in New York. ?More than 500 nominees and their guests attended.? The presentations were broadcast live by the Business TalkRadio Network.

For the first time, The American Business Awards will be presented at two awards events: Monday?s traditional banquet in New York, and at a new tech awards event on Monday, September 17 in San Francisco.

We are honored to have won this prestigious award and be nominated and judged by our peers. ?Says Shaney jo Darden, Founder and CEO of The Keep A Breast Foundation. ?2011 was another consecutive year in which incoming revenues from contributions, grants and donations allowed KAB to expand international awareness programs and award a diverse roster of grants. We remained a leading youth-focused, global, non-profit breast cancer awareness organization, and continued on our mission to eradicate cancer by providing support programs for young people impacted by cancer and educate people about prevention, early detection, and cancer-causing toxins in our everyday environment.?

Stevie Award winners were selected by more than 270 executives nationwide who participated in the judging process this year.

?We?re delighted that the first of our two American Business Awards banquets honored so many deserving organizations and executives,? said Michael Gallagher, president and founder of the Stevie Awards.? ?It?s gratifying and inspiring to have received so many remarkable entries for this year?s competition.? We?re looking forward to celebrating other Gold, Silver and Bronze Stevie winners at our new tech awards ceremony in San Francisco on September 17?
